Mexico City

As part of our art consultancy service, we recently travelled to Mexico City to survey a client’s sculpture commissions from Mexican artists Paloma Torres and Jorge Yazpik.

Having worked in display for nearly 40 years Dauphin regularly advises on how to secure and display pieces effectively, even when no mount making is required. We work with architects, engineering companies as well as private clients and artists directly.

The artwork survey in Mexico needed no mounts and will free stand. However, being able to undertake site visits like this means we can check sizes against the intended location, meet with an artist so they feel more personally connected to the project and commission. As well as to understand the piece more to aid its transport, installation and it’s preservation. By offering this service we find clients save more in the long run as the installation can be better planed with risks negated and time saved, the piece can be better looked after as well as ensuring the piece meets the requirements of the space.
